Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. I had a nice, helpful post planned with all kinds of great ways to show your pastor that you appreciate him.

But you can find those ideas anywhere, without my help.

Besides, do you know what your pastor really wants? Cards are nice; baked goods are tasty; purchased gifts are thoughtful. But none of those are things of lasting value. Your pastor wants to announce Christ’s forgiveness to you. He wants you to know that God really does love you.

Yes, you.

Your pastor wants you to be in worship. He wants you to be where God promises to be. Where Christ is always, without question, taking action. Where we can see and hear and taste and feel that we are His own children, forgiven and very loved.

Want to show appreciation for your pastor? Come to worship. Just come, and experience Christ at work in you. He will be there, just like He promised.

Matthew 18:20 Where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them.
